Windows 95, 98, or Me:
regsvr32 \windows\system\famimp04.dll

Windows NT or 2000:
regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\famimp04.dll

Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7:
regsvr32 \windows\system32\famimp04.dll

To replace the famimp04.dll file:

Close all open programs.
Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
In the Named box, type famimp04.dll.
In the Look in box, click My Computer, and then click Find Now.
In the search results list, right-click famimp04.dll, and then click Rename.
Type famimp04.dll.old, and then press ENTER. If there are multiple copies of the famimp04.dll file in the list, rename each copy.

When you start the program that uses the DLL or EXE file, the program checks for necessary files. The programs should start normally.
